JQ Medical appoints Schorr CEO

Ryan SchorrSALT LAKE CITY – JQ Medical has named Ryan Schorr CEO to lead the company through its next phase of growth, focusing on patient experience, operational excellence and market expansion.

Schorr, who succeeds Matt Gallagher, has also been appointed to the company’s board of directors.

Schorr brings more than two decades of health care experience to JQ Medical, holding senior leadership roles across direct-to-patient, medical distribution and post-acute care companies, including Edgepark Medical Supplies and Cardinal Health. His background includes a focus on scaling operations while maintaining patient-first cultures.

"Ryan's leadership style and focus on operational rigor align perfectly with what makes JQ successful – responsiveness and personalized support," said Matt Komenda, founder and managing partner of JQ Medical's private equity sponsor, Tacoma Holdings. "He understands what it takes to scale without sacrificing what matters most to patients and providers."

JQ Medical launched in 1994, specializing in support for individuals managing Type 1 and Type 2 diabetes across the country. It has built a reputation for its knowledgeable staff, fast delivery and dedication to navigating the complexities of diabetes care.

"I'm honored to join a company that delivers on its promise to make diabetes care easier for patients and their providers," said Schorr. "Having spent 20 years in direct-to-patient businesses, I understand that the environment is complex, but the solutions are simple; answering the phone, getting patients their products quickly and helping them navigate their benefit questions.  I have known JQ Medical since early in my career and the business has always had a great reputation in the market for its responsiveness and commitment to all stakeholders in the process. I'm excited to build on that foundation and help more patients get the support they need to live healthier lives."
