Making the most of your software?

HARRISBURG, Pa.- How's this for tech support: Computer Applications Unlimited (CAU) has partnered with an industry veteran to provide onsite troubleshooting and consulting services to its customers.

In March, CAU partnered with Mike Tracey, founder of Sturgeon Bay, Wis.-based Mike Tracey Consulting.

“In today's market, HME providers have to use technology at a greater level than they have before,” said Terry Dinsmore, CEO of CAU.

CAU has always e-mailed customers to advise them on how to best take advantage of its software. But many customers use, at best, only about half of the available features. Tracey, a former HME owner and manager, will help customers integrate new technology and maximize their use of applications. He says fear often prevents customers from doing this themselves.

“When I first set up (CAU's software) several years ago, I was a little scared and it took me a long time to get things figured out,” he said. “It would have been nice for someone with experience to guide me through that.”

For customers who can face their fears, major efficiencies await, Tracey said.
