MHA kicks off Summit with Scott Gottlieb

FLORHAM PARK, N.J. – Managed Health Care Associates, which owns the MED Group, has secured Dr. Scott Gottlieb, a former commissioner of the U.S. Food and Drug Administration, to deliver the keynote address at its 2021 MHA Business Summit. “We’re honored to host Dr. Gottlieb and excited to hear his update on the global COVID-19 pandemic, what we can expect in 2021 and what role the post-acute care pharmacy will play in helping eradicate COVID-19,” said Diane Koontz, MHA president. The Summit takes place March 24-25 in a digital format for the first time. The theme of this year’s event is “One Community. One Purpose” – an homage to how the post-acute care continuum has come together to find innovative ways to combat the pandemic and deliver optimum care. In November, MHA was named by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention as the COVID-19 vaccines administrator on behalf of MHA’s independent long-term care pharmacy network.
