Abilities Expo plans streamlined accessibility conferences for 2027

GUILFORD, England – Abilities Expo will host two, rather than three, Abilities International Accessibility Conferences in 2027, focusing on events in Los Angeles on Jan. 13-14 and the New York metro area on April 29-30.
The organization also hosted a conference in Chicago in June 2026 but has decided to concentrate its efforts on East Coast and West Coast events next year.

RESNA updates training hours for ATP

ARLINGTON, Va. – RESNA's Professional Standards Board (PSB) has updated the "in-service" training hours allowed for ATP renewal. Previously, ATPs could submit up to three in-service contact hours per year toward ATP renewals, for a total of six contact hours. RESNA looks to boost membership among ATPs

WASHINGTON – As part of its strategic plan for 2026, the Rehabilitation Engineering and Technology Society of America (RESNA) has set a goal of closing the gap between the number of assistive technology professionals (ATPs) and the number of RESNA members.
