DASCO forms JV with Mass General Brigham

DASCO forms JV with Mass General Brigham After launching at Brigham and Women’s Hospital and Massachusetts General Hospital in August, the program will expand

WESTERVILLE, Ohio – DASCO Home Medical Equipment has formed a joint venture (JV) with Mass General Brigham that it says is designed to simplify the discharge process and improve access to durable medical equipment (DME) for patients transitioning from hospital to home.

Through the JV, MGB-DASCO functions as an integrated DME provider within Mass General Brigham hospitals, combining DASCO’s operational expertise and supply capabilities with MGB’s clinical leadership and commitment to patient-centered care. Together, the company says, the teams have created a more reliable and coordinated system for delivering medical equipment directly to the homes of patients.

“This collaboration is about removing barriers for both patients and clinicians,” said Jason Seeley, president of DASCO Home Medical Equipment. “Our shared goal is to ensure every patient can safely transition home with the equipment they need, when they need it. The early results show meaningful improvements in discharge efficiency and patient satisfaction.”

Since launching at Brigham and Women’s Hospital and Massachusetts General Hospital in August 2025, the MGB-DASCO model has already demonstrated faster delivery times, reduced discharge delays, and improved coordination between hospital teams and equipment providers, the company says.

The program will expand to additional MGB hospitals through 2026.

“This collaboration addresses key challenges in obtaining and coordinating home medical equipment, which often required navigating multiple vendors, follow-up calls, and delays that sometimes extended hospitals stays for patients who were otherwise ready to go home,” said Jennifer Vergados, complex care program manager, Mass General Brigham. “Now, our patients have more choice, building on our goals as a hospital system to provide the best quality, personalized care.”

Earlier this year, DASCO expanded its footprint to Massachusetts with a 3,400-square-foot office in Wilmington, according to Boston Real Estate Times.
