HARTFORD, Conn. – Lifeway Mobility’s webinar series, “Home Modifications for Better Patient Outcomes,” began in 2021 as a way for the company to stay in front of discharge planners during the COVID-19 pandemic. Five years later, the goal has shifted: Clinicians now understand why home modifications matter but need practical guidance on how to implement them quickly and effectively.
“In 2021, the need was connection and awareness,” said Amy Reid, director of national accounts at Lifeway Mobility. “Clinicians had limited visibility into home accessibility solutions and fewer opportunities to collaborate. In 2026, the focus is on application, speed and measurable outcomes.”
From awareness to CEU-driven education
Originally titled “Hospital to Home,” the webinar series launched as a non-CEU program centered on education and relationship-building. In 2023, Lifeway Mobility transitioned the series to free, live CEU webinars, a move that significantly increased engagement and reach, Reid says.
By 2025, Lifeway Mobility hosted 12 webinars, drawing approximately 6,200 registrations. Attendance rates averaged 40% to 45%, and the company issued approximately 1,850 CEU certificates.
Simplifying access and scheduling
In 2026, Lifeway Mobility is streamlining the series, reducing the total number of webinars to six, with two sessions offered per topic. Reid said the decision was driven largely by clinician feedback, particularly around scheduling flexibility and a simpler CEU process.
The company now offers free certificates of attendance, with an optional CEU available for $17.
“We also learned where to improve,” she said. “Feedback consistently pointed to simplifying the CEU process and offering more flexible scheduling, which directly influenced how we refined the experience moving into 2026.”
Practical content that drives referrals
Reid said webinar topics that resonate most are grounded in real-world case studies, patient scenarios, equipment demonstrations and clear timelines showing how home access solutions are applied in practice. Lifeway Mobility has also expanded the scope of the series, adding a clinical educator focused on fall prevention and, in 2026, a dedicated ramp expert.
Those refinements appear to be translating into action. Approximately 25% of webinar attendees refer a patient to Lifeway Mobility following a session, Reid says.
“When education is practical and interactive, it doesn’t just inform,” she said. “It drives action. We see that in the referrals that follow.”
