Medicap Pharmacy relocates, expands DME

EAST NEWTON, Iowa – Medicap Pharmacy of Newton celebrated the grand opening of its new space on June 28, according to the Newton Daily News. The independent pharmacy relocated in November to the former Medicine Shoppe Pharmacy. Pharmacy Manager Chris Forck, RPh, told the newspaper that the company offers free local delivery, immunizations, compliance solutions, mom-and-baby care, and an expanded line of DME at the new location. “We’ve put together a great team and we love our newly renovated space,” he said. “We can’t wait to show all the improvements.” The Medicap Pharmacy franchise began in 1971 with its first store in Des Moines, Iowa, then called Medicine Chest. It now owns 22 pharmacies in central Iowa.
