SAN JOSE, Calif. - Ventus Medical has launched a therapy kit designed to help people gradually adjust to expiratory positive airway pressure (EPAP) treatment for obstructive sleep apnea. The Provent Starter Kit is placed just inside the nostrils and held in place by a hypoallergenic adhesive. The expiratory resistance created by the device helps maintain an open airway during sleep and prevents a collapse of the airway.
