Active turns 20

LAPEER, Mich.--Active Home Medical Supply celebrated 20 years in business with an open house March 20. Owners Terry and Lori Sears started the company out of the basement of their home, and now they employ 11 full-time employees and one part-time employee in a 7,800-square-foot facility. “We've been slow to grow, but I like it that way,” Lori Sears told The County Press. Initially, active Home Medical provided only respiratory equipment and services to group homes, but it has added items like incontinence supplies as the need arose.
