Camp builds state's first accessibletree house

ROME, Maine - A camp for children and adults with disabilities here will boast the state's first handicapped-accessible tree house this spring. Forever Young Treehouses, a Vermont-based nonprofit organization, designed the tree house, currently under construction, for the Pine Tree Camp. The 400-square-foot tree house will feature a winding ramp with a gradual slope. All but about $50,000 has been raised to cover the costs of building the $145,000 tree house.
