Lincare, Apria, AHP report earnings

Clearwater, Fla.-based Lincare in July reported revenues of $428.4 million for the quarter ended June 30, 2008, compared to revenues of $397.1 million for the same period last year. Net income was $62.6 million compared to $56 million. Lincare reported revenues of $843.8 million for the six months ended June 30, 2008, compared to $775.5 million for the same period last year. Net income was $123.3 million compared to $109.9 million…Lake Forest, Calif.-based Apria Healthcare reported in July preliminary revenues of $531.2 million for the second quarter of 2008, a 35.5% increase from the same quarter in 2007. Net income was $22.6 million for the quarter compared to $19.3 million for the same quarter last year. Apria delayed a July 30 earnings conference call to evaluate a potential overstatement of its accounts receivable reserves…Brentwood, Tenn.-based American HomePatient in July reported revenues of $64.2 million for the second quarter of 2008, a 12.4% decline compared to the same quarter a year ago.
