Manufacturers arm providers with info

YARMOUTH, Maine - Manufacturers of power mobility devices are arming rehab providers with documents that they can pass on to referral sources to help them meet new PWC requirements. Pride Mobility, Sunrise Medical and Permobil have all published documents on their respective Web sites (www.prideprovider.com, www.permobil.com, www.sunrisemedical.com) that providers can access with established passwords. The documents walk referral sources through the documentation requirements that are part of CMS's interim final rule, which went into effect Oct. 25. The rule replaces CMNs with physician prescriptions and medical records.
