Medtrade Spring preview: Smaller show is Vegas ace

LAS VEGAS - While the basic format for Medtrade Spring 2018 remains the same, the HME exposition at the Mandalay Bay on March 28-29 is counting on its Las Vegas ace-in-the-hole to give attendees their money's worth.

“Because Medtrade Spring is a smaller show, it leads to even greater opportunities to tap into the wisdom and expertise of our presenters,” Show Director Kevin Gaffney said about the Vegas poker-themed advantage. “These presenters are on the lookout for new ideas specifically for Medtrade Spring, and they come prepared to share those ideas.”

While knowledge is king, finding new products also has royal status among attendees as well.

“There is no other product-sourcing, touch-it, try-it venue that compares to Medtrade events,” Gaffney said. “Among exhibitors, new ideas and new products abound, and exhibitors are highly motivated to cement existing relationships and create new ones.”

Events that kick off and wind up Tuesday's schedule have become perennial favorites. First-Time Attendee Orientation at 8:30 a.m. allows new visitors a chance to learn how to optimize their time at the show over a cup of coffee, while the Audit Happy Hour at 5 p.m. is a chance to meet with experts at a relaxed networking session.

Two key Wednesday events are the Power Lunch at 11:45 a.m., which gives attendees the chance to participate in roundtable discussions over lunch; and AAHomecare's Stand Up for Homecare Fundraiser Reception at 5:30 p.m. is a proactive campaign to promote the HME industry on Capitol Hill.

“With all that goes on at Medtrade Spring, attendees continue to tell us that the networking events provide those unexpected connections that can lead to real change and improvement,” Gaffney said. “Some networking is planned, and some is not.”
