Numotion refreshes learning opportunities

Danielle MainsBRENTWOOD, Tenn. - To keep clinicians and ATPs ahead in the ever-evolving complex rehab industry, Numotion has updated its educational offerings, striking a balance between in-person and virtual learning.

“We want education to be accessible for learners and providing a variety of formats allows for the learner to select the option that works best for them,” said Britta Schwartzhoff, a Numotion clinical educator.

Designed specifically for PTs, OTs and ATPs, Numotion’s clinical education opportunities include NuFairs, live virtual webinars, and on-demand CEU and free educational courses. The offerings are relevant to current events in adult and pediatric mobility, medical supplies, health care, insurance, and seating and positioning.

The in-person NuFairs are divided into multiple educational tracks to cover a variety of topics related to CRT. They also provide manufacturers the chance to show off their latest products and technology at the NuFair EXPO.

“Over the past few years, the opportunity for all live, in-person activities has been limited,” said Danielle Mains, Numotion’s director of clinical education. “Many clinicians had fewer chances to see, touch or trial new products that may greatly impact their clients’ health and function. The goal is to provide clinicians with a dedicated time to learn, trial and compare products, while connecting with manufacturing partners to further expand their knowledge and skills.”

For those unable to travel, Numotion offers live virtual webinars once a month. The topics are chosen based on prior feedback from learners and are tailored to address their diverse needs and specialties. Upcoming webinars will focus on bladder management and wheelchair configuration.

“Providing education to clinicians on this under-addressed topic empowers them to make CRT recommendations that will further promote independence and quality of life, leading to improved outcomes,” said Leah Holderbaum, a Numotion clinical educator.

Numotion Clinical Education is an approved provider for IACET and AOTA, and partners with Redefine Health Education for physical therapy continuing education.
