FORT WAYNE, Texas - The owner of the Convalescent Shop wants to find a new home for a nonprofit foundation that provides home medical equipment to people without insurance. Tom Hanchar is working with the Fort Wayne, Texas, planning board to build a seven-building medical park that would house the Brenda Hanchar Foundation, named after Hanchar's wife, who died of cancer a few years ago. The foundation would occupy 2,000 square feet of a 25,000-square-foot building in the park. Hanchar is courting doctors and orthopedic companies to buy or lease space.
