RATC details PWC paperwork concerns

WASHINGTON - AAHomecare's rehab council delivered a letter to the DME MAC medical directors July 28 that outlines its concerns with their latest guidance on power mobility documentation. The guidance introduced a new requirement that providers prepare a detailed product description and have it signed and dated by a physician before delivery. In the letter, the Rehab Assistive Technology Council requested that the medical directors provide a comment period for the new requirement, which went into effect Aug. 24. RATC also asked for a definition for "licensed/certified medical practitioner."
