Scooter Store adopts standards

NEW BRAUNFELS, Texas - The Scooter Store has implemented all the measures outlined in CMS's proposed quality standards a year ahead of schedule, the company announced in early March. Although CMS hasn't released final standards yet, the agency plans to require providers who participate in competitive bidding to adopt the standards in 2007. The Scooter Store, which is accredited by the Accreditation Commission for Health Care (ACHA), had set a personal goal of adopting the standards by April 2006.
