Sen. Clinton: Provide 'concrete guidance'

WASHINGTON - The rehab industry can add Sen. Hillary Clinton, D-N.Y., to the list of legislators who have written to CMS about the paperwork burdens of its new documentation requirements for power mobility devices. In a July 11th letter to Administrator Mark McClellan, Clinton urged CMS to work with the Office of Management and Budget to reduce the potential burdens on providers. Clinton also urged CMS to provide "concrete guidance" on what should be included in the required supporting documentation, so providers don't collect more documentation than might be necessary.
