Southern Home says timing is right for acquisitions

GREER, S.C. - Southern Home Medical is looking to acquire medical businesses, it announced today. The holding company provides healthcare services, staffing and medical equipment to facilities and in-home patients. "Our position for growth and acquisition has never been better than right now," stated Jeffrey L. Sarvis, president and CEO of Southern Home Medical,” in a release. “The timing is right for a candidate who is a proven operator and will blend seamlessly with the businesses that we currently operate." Southern Home Medical owns and operates ApneaRx, a medical equipment supplier and Encore Medical Staffing. The company formed as Southern Home Medical Equipment in 2007 with an eye toward rolling up HME providers. In 2008, it turned its focus to medical staffing.
