Joe Edmunds, the vice president of sales and marketing for Texarkana, Texas-based Artex Medical, left Artex Medical in December to pursue new interests in real estate development in south Florida. He held the position for four years. Prior to joining Artex, Edmunds was the director of respiratory sales for Liberty Home Pharmacy. Artex is a provider of diabetes testing supplies and respiratory medications to nearly 12,000 Medicare patients nationwide ... The North Carolina Association for Medical Equipment Services has elected its officers for 2005: President - Mary Lou Fleming of Advanced Home Care - Pinehurst; President-Elect - Jeff Taylor of Medi Home Care in Statesville; Treasurer - Patti Nolan of Evergreen Respiratory in Cary; Secretary - Pam Long of Chair and Equipment in Charlotte. Other Board members include: Kim Brummett of Advanced Home Care in Greensboro; Erin Sturmer of Triangle Aftercare in Durham; Brent Mattox of Reimbursement Services in Greenville, S.C.; Mike Reese of McKesson Medical Surgical-Home Care in Wake Forest. Miriam Lieber, president of Lieber Consulting, has accepted a seat on Connectyz Technologies Board of Advisors. Lieber has an extensive background in the reimbursement and operations arenas and will assist the current Board of Advisors in providing guidance in the HME and Physician business centers ... Clarke Health Care Products announced that Jason Everett has been named national sales manager. Everett will overseeing the corporate sales representatives as well as the independent reps. He will report to Jerry Clarke, president of Clarke. Everett brings seven years of managerial experience, as well as sales experience from a related industry. Clarke distributes Aquatec bathing products, Dolomite walkers, Patron strollers, DecPac ramps, Roth MOBELI grips and ADL products from Hart Industries ... InnoMed Technologies, a medical device company that markets products to treat sleep and respiratory disorders, has named Sanjay Chandran as its new chief executive officer. Previously, Chandran was a senior executive with GE Healthcare ... VMI announced Paul Marnocha as the newly appointed national sales manager to head up its full-size van division.
