Invacare opens umbrella group for independents

ELYRIA, Ohio -- Invacare has formed The Helixx Group to serve as an umbrella organization for subsidiaries that will operate independent of the Invacare brand line. These companies include Freedom Designs, Kuschall North America and Motion Concepts. Invacare's PinDot brand will also align with The Helixx Group. Invacare has hired Chris Yessayan to head up the new organization. Yessayan came to Invacare from Thermo Electron. He previously worked for 14 years at General Electric. "Our intent is to build on the strong customer focus that each one of the individual businesses has developed and leverage that across the broader portfolio, making The Helixx Group a preeminent service provider for high-end rehab products," Yessayan said in a press release.
