Medtrade: Best in show

Medtrade: Best in show

So I had time to walk the show floor a little bit today and I noticed some of the exhibitors doing some pretty innovative things to catch the attention of attendees.

Best new way to advertise: (pictures 1 and 2) Vendors like Remit Data and Infopia cropped up in unsuspecting, but highly visible, places like the stairs and escalators.

Best give-away: (picture 3) Drive Medical lured attendees into its booth by raffling off a 2011 Harley Davidson Iron 883 and a Super Bowl XLV package that includes two tickets to the game, airfare and hotel. Drive will announce the winners on Nov. 22 on its website.

Best new grab gag: (picture 4) Bionime, a manufacturer of blood glucose monitoring systems, was giving away these bags to help attendees carry home their information and swag. I love the clean, modern design.

Best award: (picture 5) MK Battery awarded three checks for about $25,000 to three industry associations: NRRTS, NCART and AAHomecare. For a six-month period earlier this year, the manufacturer set aside $1 for every gel battery it sold, raising about $75,000.
