Miracle Mobility's Dan Guthrie wants to be ‘George Foreman of wheelchairs’  Next phase of company's growth includes establishing dealer network

Miracle MobilityCLEARWATER, Fla. - Miracle Mobility’s 4N1 Electric Walker Wheelchair made a splash earlier this year in Medtrade’s New Product Pavilion, taking home Gold, and now it’s about to take over television.

“We are happy to announce that Miracle Mobility will be partnering with the Home Shopping Network and just secured an agreement with QVC,” said CEO Dan Guthrie. “Hopefully, I’ll be the George Foreman of wheelchairs soon.”

Miracle Mobility has also recently onboarded four to six new online retailers and expanded into Canada.

The 4N1, a cash product, has four functions—a manual walker, a lightweight transport chair, a power assisted transport chair, and a power wheelchair— making it ideal for someone with limited mobility, says Guthrie.

“They may be struggling with balance—someone who typically uses a rollator,” he said. “Let’s say mom is at an assisted living facility and she can walk to the cafeteria, but she gets tired of walking back. This is an ideal product for her to help push her along.”

Guthrie’s no stranger to large retail outlets, including big-box retailers, having held sales leadership positions for industry giants like Kraft Foods Group, Rexall Sundown and Nautique to name a few.

“I worked for PTI Sports,” said Guthrie. “They had the Schwinn and Mongoose bicycle licenses, so we took those from small, mom-and-pop bike shops to the Walmarts, Kmarts and Targets of the world.”

And he’s doing the same with Miracle Mobility.

“We launched Miracle Mobility with Costco and focused our initial sales through e-commerce retailers, such as Amazon,” said Guthrie.

In Phase 2 of its expansion, Miracle Mobility’s primary goal is to establish a dealer network.
