...plans series of seminars

LITTLETON, Colo. - In another move to make continuing education opportunities more accessible to rehab technology suppliers, NRRTS will host five tele-seminars starting in February. "A lot of suppliers can't get the money to travel, so this gives them another venue for getting their continuing education," said Executive Director Simon Margolis. "By completing the five sessions, they'll have enough CEUs to meet their ATS/ATP requirement." The series costs $75 for NRRTS registrants, $100 for friends of NRRTS (FONs) and $150 for all others. The monthly seminars will cover topics like pressure mapping, pelvic stabilization and medical justification for tilt. Rita Hostak, vice president of government affairs for Sunrise Medical and president of NCART, will close the series in June. "RTSs need clinical information," Margolis said. "They get business education elsewhere." To ensure participants complete each session, NRRTS will require they take a short quiz and complete other measures, he said.
