LOS ANGELES – Shield HealthCare is now fully contracted with Astiva Health in Southern California, expanding access to covered medical supplies and services for eligible members, the company says. Through the new agreement, members whose plans include covered supplies can now obtain them through Shield HealthCare, subject to individual plan benefits and coverage requirements. "We are excited to welcome Astiva Health and its members to Shield HealthCare," said Eric Morrow, senior director of payor solutions & market access. "This relationship advances our commitment to helping individuals receive the products, service and support they need to live confidently and independently." Shield HealthCare provides medical supplies to patients at home and offers billing support to help customers navigate insurance requirements and access eligible products. The agreement broadens access to these services for eligible Astiva Health members. Astiva Health offers Medicare HMO and Chronic Condition Special Needs Plans (C-SNPs) for eligible Medicare beneficiaries, including those with qualifying chronic conditions.
