Honor roll: Penrod Medical Equipment, CareCentrix

Craig Rae, owner of Penrod Medical Equipment in Salisbury, N.C., was recently named to the National Small Business Association Leadership Council. Rae joins the NSBA Leadership Council alongside other small business advocates from across the country as they work to promote the interests of small business to policymakers in Washington, D.C. Rae acquired Penrod Medical in 2011, after 30 years as a corporate executive for leading manufacturing companies. Penrod Medical serves 35 counties in central and western North Carolina…CareCentrix has been selected as one of the Tampa region's top employers, according to the Tampa Bay Times 2019 Top Workplaces. A survey that gathers responses on 24 factors, including company values, effectiveness and connection, is used to develop the rankings. More than half of CareCentrix's 800-plus employees in the Tampa region completed the survey.
