TORONTO – Motion, which joined Brentwood, Tenn.-based Numotion in 2025, has acquired True North Home Health, strengthening its service and support to clients in Southwestern Ontario.
As part of the integration, the True North team has transitioned to the Motion Chatham and Motion Sarnia teams, and True North’s facilities there have permanently closed.
“The coming together of our two organizations creates an exciting opportunity to strengthen the service and support we provide to clients across the Chatham-Kent, Lambton and Sarnia region, while further advancing Motion’s growth across Ontario,” said Jeff Preston, president of Motion. “Dave Deighton has built an exceptional team at True North Home Health with a strong reputation for professionalism, commitment and genuine care for their clients – values that closely align with who we are at Motion. We’re very pleased to welcome them to our team and look forward to building on the strengths of both organizations.”
Established in 2005 by Deighton, True North has been serving clients for more than 20 years. The company prides itself on its commitment to superior service for clients with a wide range of mobility and accessibility equipment needs.
Joining Motion gives True North access to broader resources, an extensive network of knowledgeable experts and opportunities for growth, while allowing the company to carry forward its relationships, values and legacy, Deighton said.
“After 20 years of building True North Home Health, we are incredibly proud to begin this next chapter as part of Motion,” he said. “Our success has always been rooted in the expertise and dedication of our employees, the relationships we’ve built within the communities we serve, and our commitment to providing exceptional care and service to our clients.”
