Medicare announces electronic initiative

WASHINGTON - CMS has announced a new initiative, MyHealthEData, to give patients control of their healthcare data. Under the initiative, patients would have access to their entire health record electronically and be able to share the data with whomever they want to make informed decisions about their care.
