Medline executes field action, prepares to exit bed market

NORTHFIELD, Ill. – Medline is executing a voluntary field action to initiate product removal, discontinuation and market exit of all Medline brand beds, including home care, bariatric and long-term care beds, the company announced in an Oct. 14 letter to customers.
The exit also applies to all associated pendants, accessories, replacement parts and bed-containing order packages, the company says.

Philips issues voluntary recall for V60 vents

AMSTERDAM, the Netherlands – Philips Respironics is notifying customers of its V60/V60 Plus and V680 ventilators about a potential issue with the electrical circuit that controls the 35V power supply to the ventilator and alarm.

WASHINGTON – The U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission and Drive DeVilbiss Healthcare have announced a voluntary recall of four different models of its bed assist handles and bed assist adult portable bed rails.
